Ken Shimura, Comedian Whose Sketches Delighted Japan, Dies at 70

I was reading this obituary this morning and realized that Mr. Shimura (RIP) created and starred in “Kato-Chan Ken-Chan Gokigen TVâ€￾ for many years, which led to the eponymous PC-Engine game.

Very sad. As an American, I was not familiar with his work but it sounds as if he was a beloved comic figure in Japan for decades.
