Likelihood of Getting Repros?

[Released: 1985] One of the most unusual features of the Sega Master System is its dual media inputs: one cartridge slot and one card slot. The card slot accepted small cards about the size of a credit card.

Likelihood of Getting Repros?

Post by /markiiisystem »

Hey everyone! So I just came across a CIB master system and am about to start collecting for it. My question is, how often do you run into repros when buying from, say, Amazon or other major online retailers? I trust my retro game store implicitly to spot fakes and they've never disappointed, but the problem is most of their master system games are just loose carts, whereas if I go on Amazon there's a wealth of options for CIB games at reasonable prices, but I feel like I'm running the risk of getting a fake.
Is this far less common than on, say, NES or SNES due to there not being as much of a demand for master system games? Or am I still taking a huge risk?
