2DS XL connects just fine, but DS software doesn't

[Released: 2011] The 3DS is similar to the DS, but is capable of projecting stereoscopic 3D effects without the use of 3D glasses or additional accessories. A redesigned "XL" version of the console was also released.

2DS XL connects just fine, but DS software doesn't

Post by /3ds »

Ok, so I had to replace my router. I use DD-WRT, so I can use the exact same settings across the board, which I did.
Now I have a problem with my 2DS XL.
3DS software connects to the internet just fine, however all DS software no longer can connect.
To test, I have been going into settings, Internet Settings, and finally Nintendo DS connections.
I have my DS connection configured with a static IP and DNS servers as 164.132.44.10 & 8.8.8.8.
On a side note, I also have the same IP address reserved on my router, so there is never a conflict.
If I test the connection as is, I get error 52100.
If I test it with DHCP, I get an error saying that it can't get an IP address, however my router shows that it's been assigned one.
If I test it using my phone as a hotspot and DHCP, I get error 52101.

Any help will be appreciated.
