Merging Nintendo Switch funds to Nintendo 3DS

[Released: 2011] The 3DS is similar to the DS, but is capable of projecting stereoscopic 3D effects without the use of 3D glasses or additional accessories. A redesigned "XL" version of the console was also released.

Merging Nintendo Switch funds to Nintendo 3DS

I really need funds on my Nintendo 3DS, but since you can buy with credit card anymore, i've heard that you can merge funds on your Nintendo Switch, i can't seem to find the merge funds option though. How does it work? I got my Nintendo Switch last christmas, so i still don't know much about the Switch. Can someone explain how the merge funds option works?
