I have an Xbox 360 hard drive enclosure (original model) and randomly mid-gaming session, the console restarted and asked to plug in a hard drive to install the update. None of my profiles, saves, etc were there so i went into system settings. My hard drive showed up as 'unformatted' and I decided to try and format it. No luck.
I then decided to open up the hard drive enclosure, and replace the hard drive (which i suspected to be dead) with a known good hard drive. Its 320gb and I formatted it with xFAT with the name 'xbx'. After doing this, I reassembled the drive enclosure and plugged it into the XBOX. Now going into drive settings, nothing comes up. When turning on the console however, I can hear the harddrive spin.
Any help would be appreciated.
