Reconnecting Genesis Mini After Project Lunar Install

I am having trouble reconnecting my Genesis mini after the initial setup. It seems I have to try a bunch of turning off and on, connecting and reconnecting for me to finally get a connection to sync the machine.
Any tips or order of operation after install to get the thing to connect every time? How long is it normally supposed to take?
