Is it worth buying a dreamcast in 2019? Do all models of it have a bad disc drive?

[Released: 1998] Born out of Sega's darkest hour to decide whether the company stays in the hardware business. Even though it didn't officially last long in the US, it was continued selling in Japan and spawned some great 2D Japanese shooters.

I have the opportunity to get one for a decent price but I'm not sure if it's worth it if the disc drive will just crap out in a few months. I'm aware of its notoriously bad disc drive.
