PS3 keeps hitting off every time I play a movie

I got an element 32 inch tv and idk why the ps3 keeps shutting off everytime the movie starts. I’m using the HDMI cord from my ps4 since the tv doesn’t have the regular three color cord output on the back any solutions??? I’ve turned control hdmi on since it was already off and both times it shuts off when the movie starts
