The digitization era of gaming is quite fascinating to look back on
Just saying that as I was looking back at the early 90s era of gaming when some developers had attempted to make their games look realistic by digitally inserting live actors into it.
If I am not mistaken, the whole trend basically started with Atari’s Pit Fighter as the game was done mostly in a live action format, and while that game did receive a bit a ridicule for its time, it helped pave the way for games like Mortal Kombat to come out.
Hard to believe how much had changed with that kind of style in gaming when the very first Mortal Kombat entry came out as unlike Pit Fighter, the game had been much better received as it had over the top violence and far more polished gameplay overall.
