Dead pi?

Post by /RaspberryPi »

How can I tell if I have a dead Pi?

I have a raspberry pi 4 that was running home assistant for a good year before I switched to a PC server. Raspberry Pi sat unused for about a year.

Today I decided to boot it up to try and do some Tuya-Convert. I booted it up, but after a minute or so I remembered that it probably still has the home assistant OS running on the SD so I turned it off. Took the SD out, flashed it with the latest lite version, inserted the SD, turned on the Pi.

The Ethernet port activity lights never came on. Tried different versions of Rasbian, down to the version I remember using Tuya-Convert on which was Buster, but the Ethernet lights never turn on.

So after the last flash, I focused on the Pi Activity lights and only the Red power button is lit up.

Is my Pi dead?
