Any way how to play Total Annihilation with friends?

Hello, Total Annihilation is one of my most favourites games I have ever played. It was game I played with my father from early childhood, and I never felt such joy from strategy game till this day. But now, i simply cannot find a way how to play it with friends. 5 years ago, we managed to play it with friends somehow through Hamachi, but through last 3 years we weren´t able to play it again. We tried Hamachi, Redmin, etc. but nothing was working. Is there anyway, How to play it with friends? today?

I would love to relive my childhood memories once more. Even Total Annihilation campaign is great, but playing with friends is simply totally diferent level.
