UMK 3 board popped, odor, what is damaged? Where to start on repair?

Hi all, I recently purchased a UMK3 board off of one of the members of the forum. I got it installed in my dedicated MK II cabinet utilizing Jim Riddle's 4-way EZ switcher. Last night, the UMK3 board booted up with no issue for the first couple times while testing and getting everything in the service menu setup for free play, etc. I swapped out the 3v battery with a BR2325 Panasonic (tested at 3.2v) - due to the old one showing only 2.2v.
