GDEMU - Messed up Sound

[Released: 1998] Born out of Sega's darkest hour to decide whether the company stays in the hardware business. Even though it didn't officially last long in the US, it was continued selling in Japan and spawned some great 2D Japanese shooters.

GDEMU - Messed up Sound

Post by /dreamcast »

I recently installed a GDEMU into my Dreamcast and it works, except for the sound. I have been scouring forums and posts and everything leads me to believe that the power supply is causing the issue however when I measure the voltages with my multimeter, everything seems to check out. Games play fine, albeit with distorted sound.

Things I have tried: - Cleaning PSU contact pins multiple times - Changing SD Cards - Reformatting and reloading sd card - Installing GDEMU into a second Dreamcast unit I have. Same issues. - Clean GDROM connection slot - Popped GDROM drive back into the console to make sure still working - both sound and video work fine running from disc. - Tested with both composite and vga cables. Issue is present in each.

Anyone have any suggestions as to what I should try next?
