Possible to add Doom2 or other custom doom.wad

I just downloaded prboom and DOOM: DOOM 1 on KMFD's mod hub and was wondering if I could use the prboom engine to run doom2 or chex quest and how I might go about that. Running the .exe with doom2.wad only crashes to the splash screen.
