Backing Up Games: 700mb too risky?

Post by /turboG16 »

As a Duo-R owner, I'm looking into backing up some of my games. I have been doing research and became a bit skeptical. I read that 700mb CD-R's will cause the Duo-R's lens to work harder/die quicker due to the data location on a 700mb disc. I'm not sure what I should do. Would you say the repro markets are a safer route?

The brand Verbatim is what people are using for their back-up's. For those that do, have you came across any hardware issues?

I purchased my RGB/Region-Free Duo-R in 2022 from Doujin Dance via eBay. I haven't opened it and seen the work that was done. Assuming he did what he claimed in the item description.
