NES controller with Mac

Happy new year I’d like to play some childhood favorites on my Mac, which is running the latest Mac OS. I’ve looked at a few reviews for some usb nes controllers on Amazon and see that people mention the devices stopped working with recent versions of Mac OS. So I’m wondering if anyone can suggest an nes controller for Mac that is compatible with a current version of the Mac OS. Ideally, a controller that’s similar to the originals. Thanks!
