Question about the console

[/dreamcast]

So I got a dreamcast off ebay and a copy of sonic adventure along with it. The game looks to be in perfect condition yet it does not load. I thought it was the disc drive as it had been having problems with other games and so I got a replacement disc drive. The disc drive I put in however does not load it either. Is this a game problem or is it something wrong with the motherboard perhaps?
