Sixaxis Controller Keeps Disconnecting - Slim PS3

Hello

I bought a second hand PS3 slim on ebay in very good condition, but the Sixaxis controller that came with the console disconnects by itself every 30 mins to an hour and when I turn it back on the battery is at 75%.... So is this an issue with the console or the battery in the controller?
