Looking for a game title

Hello all. I am looking for some assistance finding a game I think was on the NES. I remember it being a top view type game. The scenery was an old castle. I recall being able to choose your character, some options were a wizard or an elf. There were bats and skeletons that you had to destroy as you made your way through.
