Issue with finding root filesystem.

Post by /RaspberryPi »

I have installed Raspian lite using the Raspberry Pi Imager and when I boot it up it gives this error:

Gave up waiting for root file system device. Common Problems: - Boot args (cat /proc/cmdline) - Check rootdelay= (did the system wait long enough?) - Missing modules (cat /proc/modules; ls /dev) ALERT! PARTUUID={my_rootfile_partuuid} does not exist. Dropping to a shell! I have tried in the cmdline.txt file and fstab file to change the root to equal /dev/mmcblk0p2 but that does not seem to do anything, rather it only says that /dev/mmcblk0p2 does not exist. Has anybody else had this problem or have resolved it? I would love some help!!
