Tips for filming Gameboys?

Hey everyone, I'm working on a video project, going over the GBA consoles and ranking them in terms of their purity of the developers vision.

I'm running into a problem with filming the screens, where the lights from my light box reflect off the screen lenses. I'm also having a bit of trouble getting the right refresh rate or frame rate for the screens.

Does anybody have any tips or resources to point me towards for filming these systems? And just to be clear, I'm not trying to RECORD the screens, not looking for a capture card or anything, just want to get footage of the physical screens.
