r/gameboy being set to Private on June 12th

As you may have read elsewhere, a Reddit-wide protest is beginning on June 12 in response to Reddit's decision to kill 3rd-party apps and demonstrate how much they don't care about any of us. The r/gameboy subreddit will be set to Private, so nobody will be able to see or post anything.

I recommend abandoning Reddit altogether, forever. (really.) Many of us are on the Game Boy Discord server at https://discord.gg/gameboy and you should join us there, never to return to Reddit for any reason. See you there!

There is some coordination going on among moderators, happening on Discord, in terms of when the subreddit(s) will be set back to Public, or if Reddit does anything in the meantime. (they won't.) But starting on the 12th, we're talking Game Boy on Discord and not Reddit. I'll post updates there if anyone wants them. If the majority of subreddits are back online after a couple of days, then there's no reason for us to stay Private.

The Build/Modding contest is still ongoing, and we'll figure out what to do about the Game of the Month if needed.
