A place that sells PS1 motherboard parts?

[Released: 1994] Sony entered into an agreement with Nintendo to develop a CD-ROM attachment, for the Super Nintendo. Due to contractual problems it was never released, and instead, a modified version was introduced by Sony called the PlayStation.

A place that sells PS1 motherboard parts?

Post by /playstation »

Hey everybody! I'm hoping this is the right place to ask, but happy to be here regardless. I have an SCPH-1001 with a broken disc drive. A decade ago my dumb tinkering ass snapped off the socket with the disc drive cable still attached. Somehow I've held on to it after all these years.

I'm just getting into soldering and I figured what better project than to fix my decade old mistake? Anyway, does anyone here know if there's a site to source motherboard parts for these things? I'd love to report back with a revived beauty. I'm kicking myself for breaking a 1001 out of all models to break...
