Help

I'm using project eris on my playstation classic, and when i try to go to retro arch or to emulation station, the controller gets recognized but doesn't do anything. I can navigate the menu on emulation station, but when i click on a game, it'll boot up and then i can't can't do anything on it. And on retro arch i can't even navigate to port one to try and fix the problem. please someone help me.
