Has anyone considered sponsoring tournaments through betting?

[Released: 2001] The GameCube, with the Game Boy Player attachment, it is able to play Game Boy/Color, and Game Boy Advance titles. It's successor, the Wii, supports backward compatibility. Panasonic released a DVD player hybrid Gamecube.

I know that gambling is a touchy subject, but I'm just considering ways to reward our players and breathe life into the scene. There are many ways it could be theoretically done. We already have that format for "designing the whole bracket," and could make an optional money bracket for that which rewards the top 100 brackets and sponsors the tournament. We could also do live betting with individual matches, either in top 8 or the whole day before as well, if the system was set up well...
