Tips for getting slippi to run on my 2 year old potato PC?

[Released: 2001] The GameCube, with the Game Boy Player attachment, it is able to play Game Boy/Color, and Game Boy Advance titles. It's successor, the Wii, supports backward compatibility. Panasonic released a DVD player hybrid Gamecube.

Tips for getting slippi to run on my 2 year old potato PC?

I'm wondering if it might be time to get a new pc... my framerate hangs around the low 50's and sometimes drops below 40... even with dolphin 3.0 on lowest settings. It rarely runs at full 60 FPS. I'm not great at ssbm but I've been trying to learn. Half the players are disconnecting because of my framerate slowing the whole game down.
