Really bad 'jail bars' (vertical lines) on my console - any ideas how I can fix it?

[Released: 1988] The Sega Genesis was Sega's most successful console; though Sega has never released a total sales figure quote. Several add-ons were created including the Sega CD and Sega 32X which extended its capabilities.

Really bad 'jail bars' (vertical lines) on my console - any ideas how I can fix it?

I'm currently using a Model 1 PAL Mega Drive with a 60Hz/NTSC switch mod into a C-Sync RGB Scart cable from Retro Computer Shack...

This then feeds into a RetroTink 2X and out via HDMI into a 4K LG television. Yes, I know modern LCDs aren't ideal for retro gaming; I don't want to rehash that argument.
Unfortunately, I'm getting pretty bad 'jail bars' - aka pronounced vertical banding on block colours, e.g. the blue sky in Sonic The Hedgehog's Green Hill Zone. See the image below for an example...

Some have suggested my cables could be to blame. Would upgrading to a different brand of RGB Scart improve things? Please don't recommend the HD Retrovision component cables; I know they're fantastic but, as I'm using a RetroTink 2X Scart in my setup, my cables have to match.
Right now, I'm looking at Pack-a-Punch as they seem very reasonably priced...

But are there better cables available elsewhere? Or will no cable help to mitigate the problem?
Whilst I've heard that the triple bypass mod is a surefire way to solve the issue, I'm unfortunately not capable enough at soldering and electrical work to even dare attempting it. Are there any alternative fixes I might try?
If anyone here is based in the UK, do you know where I might buy a pre-modded console with the triple bypass mod installed?
