Should I insert my expansion pak and break the seal?

I've got a real nice mint in box ice blue n64, which I do use, but recently I was gifted an expansion pak & majoras mask. The only problem is, my n64 has a sticker seal over the (non?) Expansion pak already in the console and I am worried I will destroy the value of the console if I remove it. What should I do? I am half tempted to buy a bog standard n64 to use it on ?
