What happens if you leave the disc tray open while running Swiss?

What happens if you leave the disc tray open while running Swiss?

As title says, since you can remove the disc after booting up swiss, is there any negative that happens by leaving the tray open, like the drive constantly trying to check for a disc when its already ran Swiss?
