[/TD][TD] An Original Xbox project I worked on for my own enjoyment that a few of you may appreciate. I created a TSR era Dungeons & Dragons Platform for the LaunchBox application that allows D&D players a graphically pleasing way to view their D&D PDF files on a tablet or PC. Since there is no LaunchBox app for the OG Xbox, I tried to find a way to view the PDFs on an Xbox so the display appeared similar to a collection of Original Xbox game art such as that found in XBMC4Gamers.
In order to achieve this, I first had to convert each page in every PDF to JPGs then archive the images/pages into individual CBZ files. I also had to add the 3D image for each collection as the first image in the archive. I stored all these CBZ files on a networked PC.
Using the Photo Viewer in Original XBMC, I connected to the PC folder and imported all the data. The photo viewer in XBMC acts very similar to a PDF reader, allowing for zooming, page turning, and page rotation. It uses the 1st image in each archive as the thumbnail making the collection look great. It really works well!
However, using original XBMC is a bit antiquated. It would be amazing if the Photo Viewer was enabled in XBMC4Gamers or XBMC-Emustation or, even better, if there was a way to have the D&D artwork appear similar to the emulators or games sections of these apps. I'd be able to add all the synopsis, background art, and full 3D thumbnail images. Please let me know your thoughts and if this may be possible.
