Does the EA 4 Way Play act as a pass-through for unsupported games?

[Released: 1988] The Sega Genesis was Sega's most successful console; though Sega has never released a total sales figure quote. Several add-ons were created including the Sega CD and Sega 32X which extended its capabilities.

One of the ports on my Sega Genesis has a slightly bent pin. I'm not tech savvy enough to replace it individually and I don't want to replace the whole console because this thing holds a lot of nostalgia for me.
I was looking into getting an EA 4 Way Play and leaving that plugged into the front. That way, I'm plugging into that each time rather than the actual console's ports. Will it just act as a pass-through for unsupported games in order for me to do that?
