Old "Microsoft Points" Cards - worth anything or for the trash?

[Released: 2013] Moving away from its predecessor's PowerPC-based architecture, the Xbox One marks a shift back to the x86 architecture used in the original Xbox; it features an AMD Accelerated Processing Unit (APU) built around the x86-64 instruction set.

Old "Microsoft Points" Cards - worth anything or for the trash?

Post by /xboxone »

Image I've been digging through an old box of games this weekend and found a couple of sealed "2100 Microsoft Points" boxes.
Have tried Googling and looking on Wikipedia but can't make sense of it ... says they became defunct and all points were converted to their cash value ... but now they are back ..?
Trying to figure out whether I could/should do anything with these - and if so - how/where ... Or should they just go in the recycling pile ?
