XBMC Emustation / Issues with SNES9X

Emustation works wonders after installation, but everytime I exit a game, it brings me back to the UnleashedX main menu.
And a few of my SNES backups boot to a dark screen, I tried a few roms from the ResurrectionXtra pack, but they also led to the same result.
Any advice?
