a problem with the disc tray

I powered on the Xbox(Xbox 360s) and opened the disc tray in order to play a game, but it wouldn't close, it closes for a few seconds then opens again. I read somewhere that you maybe need to pull out the tray a bit, and now it has problems opening. Are there anything I can do at home? I cant really go to a repair man...
