Flash Cart Performs Differently Between Two GBC’s

Post by /gameboy »

I have two GBC’s with Q5 screens and USBC charging mods. Extremely similar builds. I have an EZ Flash Jr. with a modest number of roms and rom hacks on it. In one GBC, every single game plays correctly and without fail. In the other, the roms seem to play fine, but the rom hacks glitch out and have issues immediately. I could understand if the EZ Flash itself was having trouble with the rom hacks, but it works fine in one of the consoles. Is there some reason that the console itself would be struggling to play otherwise functional rom hacks from a flash cart like this?
