Super advantage controller not working (help plsss)

So me and my partner recently got a super advantage controller for our snes. At first the buttons were sticky and gross so we opened her up and cleaned it. But now some buttons are like triggering without us pressing anything and we can not figure out what we did or how to fix it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
We opened everything up, and took qtip and alcohol to it to clean it out. And took white vinegar on the mother board and lightly went over it to remove the build up
