Master System 2 RGB Mod

[Released: 1985] One of the most unusual features of the Sega Master System is its dual media inputs: one cartridge slot and one card slot. The card slot accepted small cards about the size of a credit card.

Master System 2 RGB Mod

Post by /markiiisystem »

Hi friends!
Today arrived my Master System 2. Model 3006-05 with the motherboard IC BD M4Jr. PAL.
The game I used to spend a lot of time with back in the day was Buggy Run. Played it a lot with a friend of mine.
But alas, RF is a poor imege transmission protocol these days and I can see my Kidd, Alex frolicking around on the screen in VERY poor quality.
I have searched far and wide, but can't for the life of me find a how to on how to make the RGB mod without using an unavailable kit.
From what I see, it seems a simple enough operation, using a couple of caps and a resistor, by reading and perusing consolesunleashed page.
Is there any place out in cyberspace that has a write-up on how to do it?
I've found a page from someone that used a bunch of caps on a board with a lot of holes, but without the schematic, I'm afraid I can't do it. It's a page from smspower.
So, is there someone out there that did it caveman style?
The world is complicated now....
