Project Atlas from MakeMHz

Post by /xbox »

Hey,
MakeMHz, the creators of XboxHD+, announced Project Atlas in August.

This seems to be a software solution to allow newer controllers on Xbox (limited support at the moment). The proof of concept is a PBS file to patch Halo.
From what I understand, games have the usb drivers hard coded. This means each game needs to be patched to support extra controllers. With ~1000 games, régions, and the various controller types, this seems like a huge task.
From my limited knowledge, I would have thought that a hardware solution, like ogx360 (https://github.com/Ryzee119/ogx360), would be a better.
Could anyone help me understand this a bit more?
