NES games not working on emulation station

NES games not working on emulation station

Any help on how to fix? I have Genesis, snes, psx and gba all working on emulation station so I assume I have the cores in the right spot. I tried nestopia (sorry if I mispelled it) which works when I use retroarch by itself but on emulation station it kicks me back to the game select screen. I also tried quicknes and that didn’t work too. Any suggestions
