Project Eris taking long to load into carousel?

So I've been using my PlayStation classic for a while (since bleemsync). I've started to notice the startup is taking a long time.
The initial startup where it reads the USB is fast enough, then I have autoboot on to go into the carousel.
To log into the carousel probably takes a good 20 to 30 seconds. Is this normal?
