Harvest moon freezes when i try to start a new game or load

I bought a snes and a harvest moon cartridge (somewhere else), whenever i try to start a game the game freezes, even if i try continue (there's no save file but it freezes all the same), the store i bought the snes from says they tried another game and the snes works fine. So i wonder can i fix the cartridge? i bought it online and got the money back but the store said i could keep it. I would love to fix it, tried resoldering a chip that looked not properly soldered but it still does the same error.
