Can you manually edit the information for games on the Emulationstation?

I've tried using my USB wifi adapter on my PSC a few times, but it doesn't seem to work despite having the correct address and password in a txt file titled "ssid". It's been a long while since I tried it again, but that's not important right now.
Most of the games I have through Emulationstation are homebrews or romhacks, so I'm not sure if the scrapper would even find the correct information. Can I upload my own game covers, descriptions, and release details simply by having the txt files and images in the right folders?
