Saved Data damaged

I’m getting an error for my most up to date save file playing megaman legends 2 that reads ‘Saved Data Damaged’. It persists after reboot and unplugging. It’s isolated to this file. Completed a lot of tedious and time consuming things on this file and I want to know if there is any chance at all for possibly editing the file or doing anything at all to recover the data- I’m looking at 8 hours of lost time on this file.
