3DS stuck at calibration screen

Like the title implies, my 3DS is stuck at the calibration screen of the circlepad. It's rather an old thing and i don't have much hope for it. I tried looking around on the internet to see if someone had the same problem as me, but i didn't really see anyone with this problem.
When i try to turn on my 3DS it inmediately brings me to the calibration screen. When i click on cancel it shuts off. When i do the calibration it also shuts off. I haven't touched my 3DS in quite a while and i'm suprised it's suddenly acting this way. Anyone know what the cause of this is..?
Edit: I managed to get out of it somehow but now i constantly get error messages.
Edit 2: I'm back at stage 1
