HDMI output glitches on some devices

I own a Raspberry Pi 4 (4GB) and I use the following kit to get a video signal

• First a micro HDMI to HDMI converter
• Then a HDMI to USB C converter
• Then I plug the USB C cable into a phone and use it as a webcam to get a video out.

This method works fine on my Samsung A71 phone and the micro HDMI to HDMI works on my desktop monitor but I can't get it to work on my Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 lite with the USB C in. it's like the refresh rate doesn't match up. Massive amounts of tearing. Any ideas?
The app I use on my phone and tablet is USB Camera Pro paid version.
