SuperGrafx + ACD + Laseractive = ?

The CD-ROM² is an add-on attachment for the PC Engine that was released in Japan in 1988 and allows the core versions of the console to play PC Engine games in CD-ROM format in addition to standard HuCards. This made the PC Engine the first video game console to use CD-ROMs as a storage media.

SuperGrafx + ACD + Laseractive = ?

Post by /turboG16 »

Imagine if someone hooked all 3 components up and a games could be produced for it - what would be the result? 2MB of CD cache (ACD) + FMV (Laserdisc) + extra game RAM + multiple backgrounds (SGX).
Would this be the production nightmare of the year requiring only the sharpest engineers in the field could take on, doomed to failure, or could something significant have been produced?
I am betting something like Symphony of the Night could have been released, Team Innocent, or even Wing Commander 2 with FMV.
Thoughts?
