Rpi zero not showing up after flashing uf2 file.

I have 3 rpi zeros that have the same issue, they will show up in file explorer when I hold the boot button down, but then will disappear as soon as I put the uf2 file on them.They show in 'lsusb' as an unlabeled device though. I have tried the flash nuke. Running Ubuntu 20.04.4 lts.
