Official 7" Touchscreen: Not responding correctly to touch

Official 7" Touchscreen: Not responding correctly to touch

I just got the official 7" touch screen, hooked it up to my Raspberry Pi 4B (fresh Raspian install). I updated the system, but the touch behaviour is very bad, as seen in this video:

The mouse cursor jumps all over the place.
What could be causing this? Is this a faulty screen?
