What solder to use on gpio pins?

What solder to use on gpio pins?

Have a Pi Zero project I want to do but have been putting off soldering the pins. Any advice on what solder to use and what to avoid? Do I need flux core or just use a flux paste or is it fine without? I've done a lot of wire soldering just never in a board.
