Change the real screen size?

I have a small monitor I want to mount behind an already cut drywall opening. The hole size can’t change. I’d like to change the width and height of my screen so everything appears in the hole. I’m looking to have a black screen border of an inch all around. It’s different than just changing the resolution I really need to reduce the overall screen area. TIA.
